Forest fairy photo shoot - Darien, CT portrait photographer
When planning a photography session I tend to have a concept to any shoot I do, a little story or a theme. That involves the entire look, the outfits, props, location and my shooting style.
I do want for my clients to feel comfortable with what they are doing and can offer some concept ideas and see if they like it or not- and this is how we start our collaboration. I cannot stress enough the importance of the communication between the clients and the photographer and closely working for the preparation to the shoot and the right execution of the photography shoot idea. The preparation process usually takes some time and depending on the type of the shoot and my clients' desires I can be as much or as less involved in this process, however I still need to be kept in the loop.
With Darya it was a mutual process. I am amazed how creative and responsible she is! After we brainstormed a bit about what we want to do and came to an agreement about the photography concept, she started looking for different ideas, researching and thinking about even tiniest details. I was happy to find out that we thought the same. We picked up the dress together, discussed what the flowers should be, the props and the location.
Before the day of the photo shoot I knew exactly how the final images are going to look.
Love shooting in this beautiful light! The images are so airy, almost weightless- excactly how I was planning for this outdoors photo session.
